A major announcement is expected today regarding the Detroit Public Schools district.
The Detroit Federation of Teachers says it's planning to make that announcement this afternoon around 2:30 p.m.
Teachers in DPS have been in the news a lot lately over sick-outs to protest poor conditions in some schools.
