The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix announced the release of a brand new mobile app for both Android and iPhone with just over two weeks until race weekend.
Named "DetroitGP," the app gives fans the ability to buy tickets, view a map of the race, learn more about the different series racing on Belle Isle and much more.
"The DetroitGP app is native, meaning users do not need an internet connection to run the application, so visitors to Belle Isle on race weekend can engage no matter where they are located on the island," according to a release.
It will also tell fans about the Grand Prix's park and ride system, as there is no public parking on Belle Isle. For more information, visit DetroitGP.com.
“The new DetroitGP mobile app will give our fans the opportunity to interact with the Grand Prix on a different level in 2016,” Bud Denker, chairman of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix said in a release. “With the functions available, mobile users will be able to engage both before and during the Grand Prix and we will be able to keep everyone up to date on all the latest happenings through interactive push notifications. The DetroitGP app will really enhance the fan experience at this year’s Grand Prix.”
Download the app at the App Store and Google Play store by searching "DetroitGP2016."
