Detroit Homecoming kicked off at the Detroit Opera House Wednesday and ran through Friday.

The three-day event brought nearly 200 business, sports and innovation leaders back home to the D this year to invest and lead.

At last year's inaugural event, there were about 160-attendees including names like Warren Buffet. The result: more than $230-million in direct investments generated through 30-different initiatives.

The goal of this annual invite-only event is to re-engage successful Detroit-area natives to talk about re-investing in the city.
