The fast actions of one family member may have saved lives.
A fire bomb was thrown into a Detroit home this morning, igniting one family's living room while they slept.
"I don't understand why somebody would come here and try to kill me and my babies in this house," said Debra Payne.
Payne wants to know who threw a fire bomb into her living room around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
The family of six awoke to the sound of shattered gas and the smell of fuel and flames.
Without hesitation, Payne reacted, working to put out the blaze on the carpet and curtains. Adrenaline kicked in and they opened doors to throw out flaming furniture and the bottle. They said they knew they had to act fast. Three children were asleep in the room next door.
Fire investigators are now working with Detroit police to identify suspects.
