(WXYZ) — A Detroit man has been arrested in connection to a homicide that happened earlier this month in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Milan Claypool, 20, was arrested and charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault for the fatal shooting of 47-year-old Newell Lee, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
The shooting occurred on Nov. 7 in the 2300 block of Linden Avenue in Knoxville.
Knoxville police confirm Claypool was arrested in Detroit and placed in the Wayne County Detention Facility awaiting extradition to the city of Knoxville.
The investigation is ongoing.
