DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) — Wayne County prosecutors have charged 38-year-old Luis Angel Berrios-Rosario, of Detroit, in connection with a road rage incident that happened in Dearborn.

On Oct. 18 around 5:41 p.m., Dearborn police officers responded to the area of Warren Avenue and Chase Street in Dearborn for a report of shots fired.

The officers located the victim of the incident. It is alleged that while traveling in his vehicle westbound on Warren Avenue toward Greenfield Avenue, the victim noticed a vehicle driving erratically, according to prosecutors.

It is further alleged that as the victim drove alongside the defendant’s vehicle, the defendant pulled a weapon and fired it at the victim, striking his vehicle, prosecutors say.

An investigation by Dearborn Police led to the apprehension of the defendant.

Berrios-Rosario has been charged with Assault With Intent to Murder, Assault With Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, Discharged of a Firearm from a Vehicle, Felonious Assault and four counts of Felony Firearm.

He was arraigned in 19th District Court Thursday and received a 100,000 cash bond.

His probable cause conference is on Oct. 30, 2020.
