ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Detroit Metro Airport was ranked among the worst in the country in a new study from "The Points Guy,"
The study examined the 50 busiest U.S. airports by number of passengers, focusing on amenities, commute time and on-time flight records. Calculations were based on 34 different factors, including flight delays, cancellations, ride-hailing prices, restaurants, lounges, security wait times and more.
Detroit was ranked at number 47.
San Diego International Airport was named the best airport while Chicago Midway International Airport was named the worst. San Diego was given the top spot because of its "ample" amenities, timeliness and it had the best score for commute time. Chicago was given last place due to long wait times and a less-than-desirable commute.
