DETROIT (WXYZ) — A local nonprofit is working to lighten the load for one family that's been affected by the immigration crisis.
One woman was struggling to provide for her nine children after her husband was deported to Guatemala. Barely able to just get by, she was worried that there wouldn't be enough gifts under the tree for her children, so volunteers with the I.M.A.G.I.N.E. mentoring group decided to step in and help. The children got toys, personalized gifts and coats.
