Detroit police say one of their officers struck and killed a bicyclist in Highland Park late Wednesday.
Police say the officer was headed northbound on Oakland Avenue near Davison with their lights and siren on when they hit the bicyclist.
The accident happened around 11 p.m.
The male victim died from his injuries.
The road was closed for a time for investigation.
No other details have been released at this time.
