The Detroit Police Department lost one of its members June 29.
Sergeant Kevin Miller died while on duty. Sources say he suffered a heart attack.
Miller was at the Detroit Rouge Range when he had a medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital. Officers often use the gun range for certification and training.
Miller worked with the city of Detroit for 29 years. He was assigned with the 11th precinct.
The Detroit Police Department says that they extend their deepest sympathy to his family and ask that everyone keeps them all in their prayers.
