DETROIT (WXYZ) — UPDATE: The suspect has been apprehended, according to Detroit Police.

Detroit Police are investigating an apparent barricaded gunman situation at a home on the city's east side Saturday morning.
Officers say around 9:22 a.m., a cab driver dropped off a woman at a residence on the 700 block of Varjo and waited outside for her to return with the fare.
The woman never returned and an unidentified man at the residence emerged, pointing a shotgun at the cab driver, police say.
The cab driver then drove off and called 911, while keeping the house in sight.
Police have not released further details. The investigation is active.
