Detroit police investigating 2 overnight non-fatal shootings

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating two non-fatal shootings that happened in the city overnight.

Non-Fatal Shooting of Puritan and St. Mary’s

On Nov. 30 around 6:15 p.m., a 21-year-old male was leaving a local store in the area of Puritan and St. Mary’s with two friends, when they saw three unknown suspects running behind.

Police say at some point shots were fired and the victim was struck. The victim was taken to the local hospital and listed in serious condition.

The suspects were described as three unknown males. Two of the males were between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches. One was slim build wearing gray joggers and a black hoodie, the other was heavy build, wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and brown Timberlands. No description for the third suspect, police say.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Non-Fatal Shooting on 15700 block of Wyoming,

On Nov. 30 around 9:30 p.m. in the 15700 block of Wyoming, a 46-year-old man reported that he had walked outside through the backdoor when he heard shots and discovered he was shot, police say.

There is no description of suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.
