Detroit police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on the city's west side this morning.
It happened near Joy and Burt Road.
Police say the 21-year-old victim was walking from the gas station to his home around 1 a.m. when the suspect appeared from the side of a home and opened fire, killing the man.
Police say the victim went to the gas station to buy a cellphone cord.
An investigation is ongoing.
