DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a critical stabbing and three separate non-fatal shootings that happened overnight across the city.
Here is the preliminary information from the Detroit Police Department:
Critical stabbing on 15700 Block of St. Mary’s
On Saturday, July 25, 2020 around 1 a.m. in the 15700 block of St. Mary’s, the 42-year-old male victim had an altercation with the suspect that escalated in the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times.
Shortly after the incident, the suspect, a 38-year-old man, was located and arrested by officers in the area of Linwood and Pasadena, police say.
The incident is still under investigation.

Non-fatal shooting on Fenkell and Ilene
On July 25, 2020 around 1 a.m. in the area of Fenkell and Ilene, the 20-year-old male victim reported that he was attending a party when two men began arguing and shots were fired.
As a result, the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the body, police say.
The victim was privately taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

Non-fatal shooting on Fenkell and Freeland
On July 25, 2020 around 1:10 a.m. Fenkell & Freeland, the 24-year-old female victim was allegedly sitting in a 2019 Grand Cherokee Jeep with friends at a party, when shots were fired by an unknown suspect and she was struck.
She was privately conveyed to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

Non-fatal shooting on Pembroke and Biltmore
On July 25, 2020 around 1:30 a.m. in the area of Pembroke and Biltmore, the 23- year-old male victim pulled up to the location and got out of his vehicle when unknown suspect(s) inside of a black sedan fired multiple shots at the victim.
The victim sustained multiple graze gunshot wounds to the body as a result, police say.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
