DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for the public's assistance in locating three suspects wanted in connection to a deadly shooting on the city's west side.
The incident happened Monday, July 6 around 1:30 p.m. in the 6200 block of Warren.
Four men were traveling westbound when the vehicle they were in was hit by the driver of a white Ford Explorer, police say. The Explorer then drove ahead and pulled to the side of the road.
Three armed men exited the Explorer and approached the victims' vehicle firing multiple shots. A 19-year-old and 20-year-old were hit, while the other people in the vehicle were unharmed.
The three suspects then fled westbound on Warren.
The 19-year-old later died at a local hospital and the 20-year-old victim is now listed in temporary serious condition.
