Detroit police look for suspect who allegedly assaulted then robbed 66-year-old man

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred on the city's east side Monday.

According to police, the suspect approached a 66-year-old victim at a gas station in the 1900 block of East Seven Mile Road at 8:45 a.m. The suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and struck him with a closed fist before forcefully taking an unknown amount of money from the victim.

The suspect then fled northbound on Dequindre in a white, older model Chrysler Sebring.

Police say the suspect is described as a black man with medium complexion. He has a goatee and mustache. He was also wearing a camouflage jacket with stone washed blue jeans and red, white and blue Nike gym shoes.
