DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police have located a missing 14-year-old girl who was last seen by her mother on Sunday, March 10.
Police say Shayla Sherman was last seen by her mother around 8 p.m. in the 4200 block of Grayton Street.
Shayla reportedly left home without permission and did not returned. Her mother reported that a few hours after she left, Shayla's sister observed a Snapchat post from Shayla indicating that she wanted to harm herself.
Police describe Shayla as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, medium brown complexion and two puffy afros. She was last seen wearing pink glasses, black Nike coat with a hood, blue jeans with ripped patches and black boots. She has a burned scar on her right forearm.
