DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for the public's help locating a 14-year-old girl who left a note stating that she would be leaving.
Makiah Thomas, 14, was last seen by her grandmother at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the 12800 block of Caldwell. She was noticed missing at 12 p.m. after leaving a note saying that she would be leaving. Now her family is concerned for her safety.
Thomas has never ran away from home before.
She's described as a black female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds. She has short black locs and was last seen wearing burgundy leggings, a burgundy Aeropostale T-shirt, black gym shoes and a blue jean purse.
