Detroit police looking for suspect involved in fatal shooting of 70-year-old man

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are looking for a suspect involved in the deadly shooting of a 70-year-old man on the city's west side. The incident happened Monday, April 8 in the 9000 block of Mansfield St.

The suspect has been identified as 17-year-old David Williams.

Police say Williams was inside the home of 70-year-old Jamie Mintz at the time of the shooting. He struggled with the victim to wrestle a gun away from him, then shot the victim.

Williams then fled the home on foot in an unknown direction. The Mintz was pronounced dead on the scene.
