Detroit police: Motorcyclist in stable condition after being rear-ended, shot

DETROIT (WXYZ) — A woman on a motorcycle was hit from behind and then shot on Sunday, Detroit police say.

Police say the woman, 33, was traveling east on Grand River when an unknown motorist hit her bike from behind, causing her to fall and lose consciousness. After coming to, police say she heard multiple gun shots being fired, felt pain and realized she was shot.

The victim is in stable condition.
