A video is making the rounds on Facebook after a pair of Detroit police officers crashed a Father's Day party this past weekend.

But the officers weren't trying to break it up. In fact, they wanted to join in on the fun.

One of the officers, Moregen Leigh, posted videos and a photo to her Facebook page explaining that her and her partner stopped when they saw the group celebrating Father's Day with food, a DJ and a friendly game of basketball.

She wrote that people became worried when they got out of their car, and told the officers they didn't want any problems. According to her post, that's when the officers assured the group that they weren't trying to shut down the party and instead wanted to participate.

"My basketball skills may not be on point, but the opportunity to have the community realize you're a person too, not just someone in uniform is the most rewarding. I told the kids we would be back for round 2 in a few weeks," she wrote.
