(WXYZ) — Detroit police say they have a person of interest in the shooting of a woman and a two-week-old baby in custody.

The 25-year-old was taken into custody around 2:00 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of E. 7 Mile, which is near Dequindre. The person of interest was taken into custody on charges unrelated to the shooting earlier this week.

The shooting happened Tuesday when a woman was shot by a masked man when she answered a knock on the door at a home in the 16800 block of Freeland. She was holding a baby who was grazed in the incident.
