Detroit police search for suspect in New Year's Eve murder

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for the public's help identifying the man seen in the video above in connection to a murder on New Year's Eve.

According to police, it happened around 10:40 a.m. in the 17600 block of Schoolcraft near Southfield on the city's west side.

Police say two suspects got out and approached a 28-year-old man. The irst suspect, pictured above, fired shots at the victim as he ran away. The first suspect then handed the gun to a second suspect, who chased the victim on foot and fired shots, killing him.

The vehicle they were driving is a newer-model blue Chevy Cruze.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 50-60 years old with light-medium complexion. Last seen wearing a dark knit cap, tan and orange jacket and dark pants. The second suspect is only described as a black male in his 20s wearing dark clothing.
