DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police have released sketches of two suspects, wanted for a shooting that killed a 17-year-old and injured a 19-year-old late last month.

According to police, the victims were robbed at a stop sign inside their car around Ashton and Belton on Friday, Jan. 25 around 11:20 p.m. That's near the Southfield Freeway southbound service drive north of Tireman on the city's west side.

Police say the suspects approached them, announced a robbery, and as the 19-year-old tried to fee, the suspects fired inside the vehicle hitting the victims.

The 19-year-old driver suffered a non-life-threatening injury while the 17-year-old passenger was killed.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 19-24, 5-feet-10 about 150 pounds with a slim build, dark brown eyes, medium complexion and dark lips. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 19-24, 6-feet tall with a slim build, dark brown eyes, light complexion and curly brown hair.
