DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are looking for a suspect involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened on the city's west side on Dec. 31, 2020.
The crash happened in the area of Michigan Avenue and 16th Street. Three people died in the crash.
Police say the incident happened around 10:40 p.m. Two of the victims – both in their 60s– were traveling westbound in a Mercury Sable on Michigan Avenue. While trying to turn left onto 16th Street, they were hit by the suspect who was driving a Cadillac CT6 and speeding.
The third victim was the suspect's passenger – an 87-year-old man.
After the crash, the suspect, believed to be 37-year-old Victor Ross, fled on foot. He now faces charges of second-degree murder, reckless driving causing death, operating with a suspended license causing death, and habitual offender – third offense.
