Detroit police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 15-year-old.

Maria Gomez was last seen Monday, Oct. 8 on Detroit's southwest side. According to a release, the teen's mother dropped her off at school to catch the bus. At 9:15 a.m., Gomez's mother returned to the teen's high school to check on her and discovered that she never showed up for school.

Gomez was also reported missing on two separate occasions earlier this year, on June 22 and again on July 23.

Gomez is described as a Hispanic girl, 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has blonde hair and was last seen wearing a school uniform that included black pants and a burgundy Polo shirt.

Police say Gomez is in good physical and mental condition.

If you have information on her whereabouts, contact the Detroit Police Department's Fourth Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-5400.
