DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for the public's help locating a woman who hasn't been seen by family since Aug. 4.

Desiree Bowden-Avant, 65, was last seen between 4 and 5 p.m. leaving her home in the 14000 block of Fairmount on Aug. 4. Her family told police that she was driving an orange or copper colored 2014 Dodge Journey. It's unclear where she was going.

The woman's daughter has not been able to get in contact with her.

Police say Bowden-Avant is in good physical condition but her family says she has a medical condition.

If you know of Bowden-Avant's whereabouts, contact Detroit police at 313-596-5940 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up.
