Detroit police seek suspect in deadly hit and run

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Police Department has released a surveillance image of a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash on the city's east side.

The crash happened Tuesday, March 17 around 1:33 a.m. in the 18000 block of Dequindre. A 27-year-old man was walking in the street when he was hit by the driver of a 2011 or 2012 Ford Escape, police say.

After hitting the victim, the suspect continued driving southbound on Dequindre, police say. The suspect's vehicle will have heavy front-end damage.
