Detroit woman, 22, missing since Jan. 20 after leaving home with male friend and unknown woman

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Samara Richards, 22, has been missing since Wednesday, Jan. 20. Her family says she's never gone missing from home before.

Police say Richards left her home in the 5700 block of Emerald Springs in Detroit with a male friend and an unknown woman in a silver Kia Soul, and hasn't been seen since.

Richards is 5 foot 2 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds, has brown eyes and medium-length brown hair. She has a light complexion.

The 22-year-old was last seen wearing leggings, a green coat and green boots. She also has a tattoo on her upper right arm of a monster and a tattoo of a flower with a design around it on her right thigh, her family told police.

Richards also has a mental health disorder that she must take medication for. Her mother is very concerned for her safety.
