Detroit police say a woman was stabbed and shot to death by a suspected stalker early Monday morning.
According to police, it happened in the 19700 block of Sorrento, near Outer Dr. and Meyers in northwest Detroit.
Police say the 41-year-old was found with one gunshot wound and multiple stab wounds to the body around 5:15 a.m.
Witnesses told police the suspect had been stalking the victim and the victim feared the suspect. They also told police they heard screaming from the location two days ago.
A 49-year-old person of interest is being interviewed.
