Detroit's Eminem celebrates 12 years of sobriety on social media

(WXYZ) — Detroit rapper Eminem is celebrating a milestone on social media. On Monday night, he posted a photo celebrating 12 years of sobriety.

"Clean dozen, in the books! I’m not afraid," he tweeted, also referencing his song "Not Afraid."

He got clean in 2008 and his next album that came out was called "Recovery," which followed his 2007 album "Relapse."

In January 2020, he released a surprise album, "Music to be Murdered By."
