Detroit’s final job fair for city residents to qualify for 5,000 Fiat Chrysler jobs is Thursday

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan wants to compile a list of 10,000 Detroit city residents who qualify for one of the new jobs with Fiat Chrysler next year.

The last job fair to qualify is this Thursday starting at 11 a.m. at Second Ebenezer Church, 14601 Dequindre.

Walk-ins are welcome. The mayor says he will give the list to the company at the end of this month.

To qualify, people must be 18, have a high school degree, a state ID and be able to pass drug, math and other mechanical reasoning tests.

The 5,000 jobs will be filled with FCA UAW people to transfer and Detroit city residents in that order.
