A Macomb County official facing corruption charges has resigned from his position.
Dino Bucci submitted his resignation to the Macomb Township Board Wednesday night. Although Bucci initially tried to frame it as a letter of retirement, the board took it as a letter of resignation.
Bucci is facing charges of conspiracy, bribery, embezzlement, extortion, mail fraud and money laundering.
He was indicted by a federal grand jury one year ago.
Bucci is also accused of using his position to collect kickbacks and embezzle tens of thousands of dollars using a variety of criminal methods.
