DETROIT, MI (WXYZ) — The Diversified Members Credit Union has donated a total of $50,000 to various fire departments in Detroit.
$31,000 was donated to support a new program to train firefighters as EMTs. $19,000 was split amongst all Detroit firehouses for any items they may need at their individual engine house.
The DMCU is hoping this donation will remind first responders that they are appreciated.
