The Department of Natural Resources is offering up an interactive online map that shows burned areas of state land.
Those burned areas usually provide a good growing area formorelmushrooms in the spring season. Each area is 10 acres in size and are easily accessed with a motor vehicle.
These public lands are not guaranteed to offer up the tasty fungus but are a guide for possible locations to find the mushrooms.
