Woodhaven police are searching for the woman who dumped a dog outside of an animal shelter around 7:20 a.m. Sunday.
The Yorkie, now being called 'Gladys', was left in a crate that was inside a garbage bag near the Woodhaven and Trenton Animal Shelter. A volunteer discovered the dog when they arrived later.
Surveillance cameras were rolling and captured the woman and her vehicle. It appears she was driving a Lexus RX 350 between the years of 2010 to 2013.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 734-676-7337.
When Gladys is available for adoption she will be available through Last Day Dog Rescue.
