(WXYZ) — The 2021 Michigan Humane Day of Giving Telethon is returning this year on Thursday, Feb. 11, right before Valentine's Day.
It runs from 6 a.m. to midnight on Thursday, and donations will help pay for critical medical treatment for vulnerable animals, animal adoptions, providing food and access to care for pets in our area, spaying and neutering, life-saving vaccines, microchipping, animal rescue teams, cruelty investigations and much more.
Michigan Humane was founded in 1877 and is the oldest and largest nonprofit animal welfare organization in the state. It operates four shelters and vet centers, and they achieve 100% adoption of more than 8,000 animals every year.
