Dooley's targeted by smash-and-grab thieves in Roseville

A popular Roseville bar was targeted by a pair of smash-and-grab thieves and it was all caught on camera.

Cardboard now covers the door where two men broke in with a crowbar and sledge hammer. Their objective, according to police: to get the money box from a Keno machine.

The video shows the two thieves bust into Dooley's.

In less than 40 seconds, that money box locked tightly behind the metal machine is ripped out.
The thieves then take off.

Managers believe they were targeted because Keno is popular.

"We had over a $111,000 winner and then we had a $60,000 winner," said Dooley's manager Mark Giles.

Giles says the crooks got away with several thousand dollars in cash.

He believes the thieves were aware of the popular self-serve game, and were likely customers at the restaurant, plotting this plan while sitting inside the Irish tavern.

"They knew what they were doing. They came in right away, it was quick, they went right for it, so they had to scope it out. They had the tools to get right in right away," said Giles.

A woman cleaning the restaurant was inside at the time, but made it out unharmed.

Now, police are searching for the two men who are possibly driving a red Chevy Impala.
