Dozens of guns, drugs & $94K found after Shelby Twp., Detroit raids

Dozens of guns, pounds of drugs and tens of thousands of dollars in cash were found during federal raids executed at a home in Shelby Township and business in Detroit last week.

According to a criminal complaint agents from Homeland Security searched Nua Gjokaj's home in Shelby Township and found 33 guns, about five pounds of marijuana and more than $90,000 in cash.

Agents also searched his business in Detroit and found 21 guns, 334 grams of heroin hidden in a furnace and about 1,500 pills of suspected hydrocodone and Xanax.

Those guns include handguns, shotguns, and altered assault rifles, some of which had scratched off serial numbers.

The agents also found Gjokaj at the building and found about 30.5 grams of cocaine in his jacket pocket.

The criminal complaint charges Gjokaj with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.
