Detroit police are trying to identify a woman who was driving the black Chrysler 300 that crashed into a gas pump early Thursday morning on the city's east side.

Police say the woman had just fled the scene of a crash at the intersection of Van Dyke and Outer Drive, then about a quarter mile north on Van Dyke is where she lost control and plowed into one of the gas pumps at a Marathon station.

After crashing into the pump and knocking it over, the woman can be seen on surveillance video retrieving some belongings out of the back seat of the smoking vehicle and then calmly walking away.

Detroit Police say the vehicle was not stolen, but they're still looking for help identifying that hit and run driver.

Someone at the scene of the first crash did sustain some minor injuries.
