Drowsy driving alert issued after Daylight Saving Time

(WXYZ) - According to AAA, they are asking drivers to use exra caution during the first week as there is a growing concern about the impact of sleep deprivation on safe driving and for increased car crashes.

We're told about 3 in 10 drivers have reported driving when they were so tired they had trouple keeping their eyes open. They say that 9.5 percent of all crashes involve drowiness.

  • Don't drive when you are sleepy
  • Travel with a passenger
  • Take a power nap
  • Schedule a break
