(WXYZ) — States across the country are experiencing massive outages due to the winter storm. A third of customers in eastern Kentucky are without power after being hit with multiple rounds of severe weather. Now DTE Energy is stepping in to help by sending crews from Michigan to help restore power.
About 60 DTE workers, including mechanics, logistical support, supervisors and managers are headed to Ashland, Kentucky on Feb. 17. Additionally, about 150 DTE contractors are being dispatched to West Virginia and Virginia to help with restoration efforts.
