WASHTENAW COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — DTE Energy is planning to shut the power off for some people in Washtenaw County on Thursday and Friday.

The utility company says the outages will allow workers to make repairs to the electrical system.

Power will be cut to parts of Ann Arbor Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m. It will also be turned off in Pittsfield Township Friday morning around 9 a.m.

Both outages are expected to last between 30 to 45 minutes.

DTE says it will call customers who will be affected before shutting off the power.
