Dundee police say the entire school district has been placed on a soft lockdown after a social media threat on Friday morning.
According to police, they were made aware of the threat and decided to place the school district on a soft lockdown.
That means operations within each building are proceeding as normal, but the schools are not taking or allowing any outside visitors and there will be no outside recess.
"Each building is secure with a police presence," police said. There are extra officers at the high school.
According to police, Carleton police and Michigan State Police are on scene with more agencies expected to report.
