WYANDOTTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Wyandotte police are raising money for a 5-year-old girl who was hit by a motorcycle driver as he sped off from officers.

The department posted a photo on Facebook of officers visiting the young girl at her home.

The girl from Ecorse was leaving the city's fireworks celebration last Saturday when she was hit by 36-year-old Michael Stanley. He remains in custody at the Wayne County Jail on a long list of charges.

Officers will have a dunk tank at the street fair in Wyandotte on Saturday.

All of the proceeds will be donated to help the young girl with her medical costs.
