UPDATE: All lanes are now open

The eastbound lanes of I-696 in Oakland County will have limited availability starting at 5 a.m. Monday.
Four lanes will be open from I-275 to Orchard Lake.
Two lanes will be open from Orchard Lake to American Drive and only one lane will be open to Telegraph.
Officials say the concrete did not cure hard enough to allow traffic to drive on it and that only time will finish curing, sometime today. MDOT believes the sporadic rain over the weekend was a factor.
MDOT says drivers should be prepared for back-ups on connecting freeways.
Heads up- EB 696 is re-opened with limited lanes due to wknd weather affecting concrete:
-275 to Orchard Lk, 4 lanes
Orch Lk to American Dr, only 2 lanes open
only 1 lane open American Dr to US-24
Expect backups on 696, 96, M5 & 275.
