EASTEPOINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Eastpointe Police Department is investigating the shooting of a man and a woman on Tuscany Street just north of Nine Mile Road Monday.

The shooting, which police say appears to be a targeted attack, happened around 7 p.m. in the area of Tuscany and Norton.

Both victims, a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, are now being treated at a local hospital for their injuries. Police say the suspects are at large.

Police say the male victim ran from the shooting scene to escape the shooter. First responders found him inside a home in the 23000 block of Brittany. He's in stable condition. First responders found the woman in the driveway of a home in the 22000 block of Tuscany. She is in critical condition.

Police found several shell casings from the scene on Tuscany. Investigators say the bullets appear to have come from an assault-type rifle.
