(WXYZ) — 2020 marks the 52nd anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Eastern Michigan University will hold a week-long celebration to honor Dr. King's legacy.
Activities are set to kick off Thursday and run until next Wednesday.
There are a variety of free and open-to-the-public events for the entire family.
Some of the highlights include a commemorative march, a day of service and a gospel fest.
