A standoff situation between a man and police in Ecorse has ended peacefully.
We're told the man surrendered to officers Wednesday morning, after getting called to the home on Salliotte early Wednesday morning.
The suspect returned home just before midnight, when he saw police inside his home. We're told he didn't have a car, and after police left, he came back to the house and got into a fight with a woman.
After the argument escalated, police say the man fired-off shots from a gun. The woman then left to go to the police station, but she didn't take a four-year-old with her, so she was left behind with the man accused of shooting the gun.
The man then left the home a second time, but left the four-year-old inside. A few hours after this all unfolded, we're told the suspect walked into police headquarters to speak with officers.
Thankfully, the four-year-old was not hurt.
