An elderly woman who is in jeopardy of losing her social security for what she believes is a government mix up called 7 Action News for help.

Dorris Charbonneau, 90, says her social security benefits help pay for her rent, car, health insurance and groceries.

Dorris said she was told she was getting pension checks, but said she doesn't get a pension, and didn't get anyone else's either.

Her family advisory, Gina McKague, stepped in to help after she heard what was going on, but she too kept getting the runaround.

7 Action News reached out to the regional social security office on Monday about Dorris' situation. We're told Dorris' family got a call saying the whole thing was a big mistake, and they are in the process of correcting it.
